SHAKE SHACK BURGER- TIMES SQUARE NYC

Hands down to the best burger and fries I've ever had. I can't believe I had room for the frozen custard for dessert but it was too good not to finish. I probably wouldn't have braved the long line left to my own devices but I was with some locals who urged us to tough it out as the line moved faster than I thought and it was WELL WORTH the wait.

I ordered the Shack Stack burger, fries, and vanilla shake. My total came up to around $15. This was an absolutely delicious meal! The burger meat was juicy, the fries were nice and crispy, and the shake tasted like melted white chocolate Hershey's kisses! Absolutely delicious! Even their mustard from the dispensable machines had a bit of a kick to it!

So,  don't let how busy it is deter you. I'm sure this location, being so close to Times Square, is perpetually busy....
but DO NOT run away if you see the line curled around the outside of the building...jump in line...it moves fast!

NEW YORK CITY: The City That Never Sleeps

In less than a year Im back again in the United states and this time Im conquering the "BiG APPLE"; "the city that never sleeps".... NEW YORK CITY.

the famous Brooklyn bridge
Arrived JFK International Airport  early morning after my 12 hours flight from Narita. Passing the airport immigration was a breeze since i have a good record in this country for the past 3-4 yrs of going back and forth in this side of the globe.

After passing all the airport security, im off to the city and Holiday Inn at 36th street  which is roughly 30 minutes from JFK.

Am I the only one to think that NYC is overrated? Please don't get me wrong, I think that it is a great city with lots to see and very friendly and helpful people, but the first few hours while in the taxi passing all the rated streets really didn't blow me away.. Maybe it is the fact that I live in a pretty unbelievable city myself without the crazy motorist and dumps on those side streets.

But, what New York does have is an amazing frenetic energy and vitality. The other thing that makes NYC truly special is its diversity. In so much of America, this diversity is frowned upon. In NYC it is reveled in.

A TASTE OF SEOUL KOREA

Seoul is a city steeped in the past yet anxious to embrace modernity, and this makes it one of Asia's most interesting and culturally vibrant destinations. From food, galleries, ancient palaces, museums, and shopping, this city has it all.

So for our birthday trip, hubby and I decided to spend it in Seoul Korea... Its roughly a 2 hours flight from Tokyo, a very convenient way to spend our weekend indeed...

Seoul is often described as a cultural melting pot, and nowhere is this more evident than in the vast array of traditional and fusion food in Seoul Korea that my hubby and I both enjoyed...
I am always amazed at how creative the Koreans can get with their food cart businesses.

Samgyetang- Ginseng chicken soup.... the best and the healthiest in that steaming bowl

korean version of nabe.... this is seafood nabe but octopus is as freshest ever

M and M WORLD LAS VEGAS

Who would have thought that a store about M & M's would be so fascinating? It's a fun store that has everything and anything M&M imaginable.

M&M's World in Las Vegas is a chocolatier's destination. Walking from the Las Vegas Strip enroute to MGM, we chanced by the store. It was just beside the Coca Cola shop. Curious and interested in what lay inside the specialty shop, my bff's and I went up until the third floor. It was full of M&Ms consumer goods, bags, tees, knapsacks, and all cute dolls and trinkets with the M&M brand label. I felt transported to another world of candies....a world of fun...and being like a child touching on the interesting items on display. On the third floor, one will even find a racing car in the middle...multi-colored at that with M&M's painted on it. We even saw the mascot at the elevator on the way down for some pictures with the kids passing by the store. While, we have seen a lot of specialty store...the M&M's in Las Vegas is an outstanding one.

This was a neat place to visit and take pics plus a place to get your chocolate fix. M&Ms in every color you can think of!

It was fun walking around looking at the different items they had for sale. Easily could have spent $$$$ here, but ended up purchasing some blue M&M pillowcase covers with a cute M&M face on it.

You can try all different types and colors of candy here.....plain, peanut, etc, you name it , they have it!

OCEAN CLUB BUFFET

Seafood, sushi, salads and all carbs you want, desserts, chocolate fountain and ice cream.... All you can eat for only  1700 yen, 19 usd at lunch time. 22 usd during dinner, drinks costs an extra 2 usd.

I believe this is less than average in tokyo considering the perfect view of the rainbow bridge and top quality dishes
