A MAN OF GOD WILL MAKE A GOOD HUSBAND

Dear babyko

A little in advance anniversary post for you. It has been 9 years of being married and 10 years of pure love and friendship. It sounds like still a short time, but you already become like my old sweater. Comfortable. Fit me like second skin. Keep me warm and comfortable.  Keep me safe. And you’ve stretched out to accommodate my stretching girth. It has been a good ride. Strike that. It has been a great ride with you.

Heres some little things I LOVE ABOUT YOU

1. At least once a week you pick me up at the office and we go to a nice restaurant and have some good food and a glass of wine.

2.  I like how we fight, our 3 minute stopwatch rule which is quite silly but definitely works for both of us. For you,  fights should not last more than ramen`s cooking time.

3. You can be relied upon to purchase basic groceries at the store, even our sanitary napkins.... which you oblige for the love of us .... but I dont  expect you to find exotic items like “cumin” or “thyme, coz for all you know, these are the same thing.

4. I like it when we argue   on who  must hold the television remote control and ended doing jack ‘en poy’ and a new tv.  And If that thing has been misplaced, you may miss a whole show looking for it, though one time you were  able to survive by holding a calculator instead.. lolz

5. I love how our everyday events is like our little playground to play with. Our on the dot  fine of 5k yen/minute when one of us is late on the promised time, our jack en poy rule on who will pay for our travels abroad, our date nights and many more.

6. Lastly, you are sensitive to the things of the Lord, and you care about others. You take care of our home and our family in that old-fashioned, man’s man way while treating me with respect as an equal…your partner and wife. We laugh alot…i love that. You buy me gifts and enjoys my femininity, understanding my needs and  truly loves to see me succeed in life; and is unbelievably happy when I do.

I also want to tell you I am so thankful to have you as my husband. You support me, indulge me, tick me off and keep me grounded. You pamper me and yet push me to my limits. Its been a great ride. Through the bumps and the smooths. Thank you for being the wonderful person you are.  And yes, you still make my heart go bumpity bump when you walk into the room.

As the years go by, I stop and think about all the memories we’ve made, the good times we’ve shared and the love between us that keeps growing. You are not only my husband, but my best friend and soul mate. You are a blessing from above – one that I do not take for granted. I thank you for all the things that you’ve done for me . Not only are you a wonderful husband, you’re a terrific  provider and caregiver. You give so freely to all those you know in such a loving way. Your generosity is inspiring! I love you, babyko … more than words, more than life. I’m forever grateful for your love and proud to be your wife.
