Came here for brunch and there was already a line and a 30 minute wait. A long wait was expected so not a big deal. Come early or be prepared to wait awhile. There is retail shop to look
around to let time pass by. If not then there are benches along the
front of the shop.
I'm normally put off by restaurants with 1000+ reviews from tourists. I
often wonder if the ratings are given for the novelty rather than the
quality of the food. But I have to say that I've been to Eggs n' Things
several times and I have admittedly enjoyed it each time.
I wish I could complain that the food didn't taste as good as it looked
in the pictures but it does. I wish I could say the service didn't meet
the quality of the food but it did.
Their pancakes are AMAZING They have different syrups such as Guava, Maple and Coconut. I recommend
trying Coconut Syrup which is not as sweet as Maple Syrup.. And you can't go wrong with any of their selections. Their savory
breakfasts like their foie gras eggs benedict hit the spot when you're craving for
some protein in the morning. When you're fat kids like us and can't
decide between a sweet or savory breakfast, get both and you will feel
complete until dinner.
If you want to understand the heart of Tokyo and get much more than a tour... Try this one.
I didn't realize Tokyo had such a intricate waterway. On a trip to
Akusaka we decided to take the water bus rather than the train. It's a nice
alternative to the metro and it's a nice
way to see Tokyo from the river. It's slow and peaceful and you pass
under multiple bridges . It's sheds a different light on Tokyo...like you are on
the outside looking in.
There appears to be 9
different water buses, so depending on the time of day and the stop, the
price and the vessel varies. For example the Himiko only departs twice a
day from Odaiba Seaside Park and it seems to be the longest, most
expensive water bus to travel on. My advice is to get a timetable in
English if you want to ride a particular bus. So arguably the Hotaluna ferry boat with its open top deck might be a
better choice. A lot depends on timing convenience and the difference
may be less significant in that context.
Arriving just after they opened we were the second set of customers and within 30 minute it was quite busy.
We
were greeted right away and asked where we would like to sit. Although im already familiar with their menu, our server still took the time to
explain and even brought the lunch menu with better descriptions of the
dishes. She explained how the dishes can vary depending on the region
of the country and how her mom makes it. I like that because it gave our
experience a little personal touch.
PAD THAI and the turon version of their dessert were AMAZING!!! The noodles are done right, along with the vegetables.
One thing that makes them stand out is their appetizers which are fun and always well prepared. The food is simple, consistent, fresh, and well cooked. Tends to be on the spicy side but they do ask your preference

A little in advance anniversary post for you. It has been 9 years of being
married and 10 years of pure love and friendship. It sounds like still a
short time, but you already become like my old sweater. Comfortable. Fit
me like second skin. Keep me warm and comfortable. Keep me safe. And
you’ve stretched out to accommodate my stretching girth. It has been a
good ride. Strike that. It has been a great ride with you. Heres some little things I LOVE ABOUT YOU
1. At least once a week you pick me up at the office and we go to a
nice restaurant and have some good food and a glass of wine.
2. I like how we fight, our 3 minute stopwatch rule which is quite silly but definitely works for both of us. For you, fights should not last more than ramen`s cooking time.
3. You can be relied upon to purchase basic groceries at the store, even our sanitary napkins.... which you oblige for the love of us .... but I dont expect you to find exotic items like
“cumin” or “thyme, coz for all you know, these are the same thing.
4. I like it when we argue on who must hold the television remote
control and ended doing jack ‘en poy’ and a new tv. And If that thing has been
misplaced, you may miss a whole show looking for it, though one time you
were able to survive by holding a calculator instead.. lolz 5. I love how our everyday events is like our little playground to play with. Our on the dot fine of 5k yen/minute when one of us is late on the promised time, our jack en poy rule on who will pay for our travels abroad, our date nights and many more.
6. Lastly, you are sensitive to the things of the Lord,
and you care about others. You
takecare of our home and our family in that old-fashioned, man’s man way
while treating me with respect as an equal…your partner and wife. We
laugh alot…i love that. You buy me gifts and enjoys my femininity,
understanding my needs and truly loves to see me succeed in life; and
is unbelievably happy when I do.
I also want to tell you I am so thankful to have you as my husband.
You support me, indulge me, tick me off and keep me grounded. You pamper
me and yet push me to my limits. Its been a great ride. Through the
bumps and the smooths. Thank you for being the wonderful person you
are. And yes, you still make my heart go bumpity bump when you walk
into the room.
As the years go by, I stop and think about all the memories we’ve
made, the good times we’ve shared and the love between us that keeps
growing. You are not only my husband, but my best friend and soul mate.
You are a blessing from above – one that I do not take for granted. I
thank you for all the things that you’ve done for me . Not only are you a
wonderful husband, you’re a terrific provider and caregiver. You give
so freely to all those you know in such a loving way. Your generosity is
inspiring! I love you, babyko … more than words, more than life. I’m
forever grateful for your love and proud to be your wife.
This post is an advice for some krung krung friends.....(aka: shy, alvin, pao and lolobels and yani)
When someone tells me some problems they are having, I immediately
feel the need to offer advice. Its just too difficult for me to just
listen to someone who is in distress/ baliw mode/pmsing, to just be there for her/him
without knowing precisely what to say or do. And I am uncomfortable
with anything being in limbo.
Sometimes I am addicted to certainties ,
and my self-esteem depend on my ability to make things right for other
people. I find it helpful when faced with a problem or a discomfort or a pain to ask this question:
Does this need to be fixed or healed?
Think about it. The two options are very different. When a pipe burst
below our kitchen sink, we just don’t wrap a bandage around it and wait
for it to heal. Similarly, when I cut my hand slicing tomatoes I don’t
imagine that I can simply “fix” the cut.
Certainly when something needs to heal, we still attend to it. I can
apply pressure and bandage my cut. Or if I have the flu, I can go home,
lie on the couch drinking juice and chicken soup. But I know that as
much as I might try to convince myself otherwise, I cannot simply fix
myself so that I don’t have the flu anymore.
Consider relationship problems: do they need to be fixed or healed?
the question is more difficult because both are often called for. I
suppose this is analogous to a broken bone needing to be set so that it
can heal properly.
When something needs to be fixed, it calls for us to be proactive in
identifying what needs to be done and then doing it. When something
needs to heal, our job is to protect the space around the wound or
injury, allowing in only what will contribute to the process of healing.
“Does this need to be fixed or healed?” is just one of those good
questions to keep around. Sometimes the answers will be obvious, and
other times the question may just get us thinking in a different
direction.
Certainly using the question will save some valuable energy
when we can stop trying to fix what can only be healed, and stop waiting
around for what needs fixing to heal.
There is always an opportunity to bless someone. The more we seek to bless others, God will provide for us and open more doors to accomplish His will.
A touching video to cap off the whole event.
Scripture makes it clear that God blesses
us not so we can live with greed, but so we can bless others. God loves
a cheerful giver. When He sees that someone is giving freely out of
love, God blesses them more.We are blessed to be a blessing.
The kitchen reveal is finally here! I can’t believe it!
100 days of countless hours, days & nights; blood, sweat
and tears has finally paid off.
Almost 6 months and counting; many
beautiful people has sat, dine, cooked, and even cried their hearts out.
May this red kitchen continue to be a witness to all our giggles, date
nights and will continue to create beautiful memories and delicious food
which not only feeds the physical bodies but will also bless alot of
beautiful soul
